WICHITA, Kan. - Kansas Wesleyan's Isabella Galvan has been named as the KCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts for the Coyotes in the last week.

Galvan's selection comes from nominations made by and voted upon by conference sports information directors. The KCAC Player of the Week program recognizes outstanding accomplishments by individuals over the last week of play and is presented at the conference level by Equity Bank.

KWU played in one match in the past week, playing to a scoreless draw with No. 18 ranked Central Methodist on Saturday.

Galvan had an outstanding effort in goal for Kansas Wesleyan in Saturday's match against No. 18-ranked Central Methodist (Mo.). Galvan recorded four saves for the Coyotes in goal on the way to recording a shutout as KWU drew with CMU in a scoreless match. All four of Galvan's saves proved crucial in stopping CMU from getting its high-powered offense going.

The draw moves Wesleyan's record to 1-0-1 on the season.

The Coyotes play twice this week, hosting Mid-America Christian on Wednesday at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex, then heading to Seward, Nebraska on Saturday to take on Concordia.
