Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina is proud to announce the official kickoff of its site-based mentoring programs for the 2026–2027 academic year, fostering meaningful connections and empowering local youth.
High School Bigs program is expanding. In partnership with Salina USD 305 and Ell-Saline USD 307, the High School Bigs program matches high school mentors with elementary and middle school students for one-on-one encouragement and support.
This year’s program features active matches connecting high school students with younger peers across Ell-Saline, Salina High School Central, and Salina High School South.
Beyond School Walls (BSW) Prepares Students for the Future Big Brothers Big Sisters has also launched its Beyond School Walls (BSW) program, which connects high school students with professional career mentors to build essential soft skills and prepare for life after high school. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina is proud to collaborate this year with corporate and community partners Vortex/Velocity, Great Plains/Kubota, Salina Family YMCA, Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, and our newest partner, Kansas Wesleyan University.
