Saline County Emergecy Mangement

Saline County residents will have the opportunity to learn lifesaving skills and disaster response techniques through a free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course this April.

The CERT program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their community and trains them in basic disaster response skills, including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Participants can take the course purely for educational purposes or choose to become a certified CERT volunteer supporting first responders during emergencies and community events.

To graduate and receive a certificate of completion, registrants must attend all sessions. However, Emergency Management staff are willing to work with individuals who may have a scheduling conflict.

Training sessions will be held at the following dates and times:

Wednesday, April 16: 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 19: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, April 23: 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 26: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Location: Saline County Emergency Management 255 N Tenth St., Salina, KS 67401
