Dorathea Ann Goering, 95, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her home. She was born October 15, 1927 in Spring Valley Township, Kansas, the daughter of Fredrick P. and Anna L. (Hoyer) Bahre.
She graduated from Moundridge High School.
Dorathea was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Canton.
She was a devoted homemaker.
Dorathea was united in marriage to Edward W. Goering, Jr. on October 22, 1950 in Moundridge. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1991.
She is survived by her son Jerry Goering of Hutchinson; brother-in-law Clyde Otte of Moundridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorathea was also preceded in death by her parents; son Gary William Goering; and five siblings, Clara Pauls, Alfred Bahre, Roland Bahre, Wilbur Bahre, and Juanita Otte.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Canton. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 26 at the funeral home with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
