UPDATE: Minor quakes strike southeast of Assaria Sunday

UPDATE 8:25 a.m. Monday: A second earthquake struck southeast of Assaria on Sunday.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.7 magnitude quake struck at 2:26 p.m. Sunday. It was centered east of S. Simpson Road between E. Hobbs Creek Road and E. Lapsley Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck southeast of Assaria at 5:58 a.m. Sunday. It was centered just north of the E. Lapsley Road/S. Simpson Road intersection.
