Hillsboro - Richard Dale Dirks, 83, passed away June 15, 2022 at Salem Home in Hillsboro. He was born January 24, 1939 in Hillsboro to Irvin and Margaret (Unruh) Dirks. 

He married Kathy Hall October 27, 1990 in McPherson. 

Survivors include wife Kathy Dirks of Hillsboro; sons Shon (Kim) Buster of Galva, Heath Wayne Buster of Centennial, Colorado; daughters Colleen (Doug) Weinbrenner of Hillsboro, Sheri Lynn Wilson of Squenatady, New York; sister Theresa (Ray) Remmers of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 Predeceased by his sister Joan Donahue in 2011 and brother-in-law James Donahue in 2012. 

Celebration of Life Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Durham Baptist Church in Durham officiated by Pastor Jose Eston. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
