Salina man drives through home and wrecks another vehicle before arrest

Salina man arrested after driving through a home and damaging another vehicle.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on January 30 at around 4:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a home in north central Salina for the report of a vehicle that drove through the residence.

Reportedly, a female victim stated she had recently parted ways with a male. The male a couple days afterwards, drove his vehicle through her home and wrecking her car.

The victim was inside the home when the suspect committed the crime, and damaged the front porch. No injuries were reported.

Afterwards, officers found the suspect a short distance away inside his vehicle. 

SPD arrested 42-year old, David Garrett and booked him into the Saline County Jail for the requested charges of:

Criminal damage to property; (Felony); Driving While Suspended; Driving while habitual violator and Improper driving on laned roadway.

About $6,500 worth of damage was made to the residence and the victim's vehicle.
