YORK, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan competitive dance finished fifth at the NAIA Southwest Qualifier hosted by York College on Saturday.
The Coyotes posted an overall final score of 48.78 to finish fifth, ahead of Southwestern who finished with a total score of 47.93.
KWU posted a score of 47.7 in the preliminary round, and were in sixth place after the round. In the final round, the Coyotes posted a score of 49.13 to push KWU into fifth place in the final standings out of the nine participating teams.
Oklahoma City was the overall champion of the Southwest Qualifier, finishing with a total score of 80.17. Hope International was second with a 70.55, Vanguard was third with a 68.63, York was fourth with a 54.22, followed by KWU, Southwestern, Bethel with a 46.48, Saint Mary with a 43.89 and Bethany with a 42.50.
