Nancy McDermott

Nancy McDermott, 66 passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024 in Lakewood, Colorado.
Nancy was born July 12, 1957 to Robert and Marjorie (Devine) McDermott in Huron, South Dakota. The family moved to Salina, Kansas in 1963.
Nancy attended Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 1975. She then attended Marymount College in Salina and Dodge City Community College where she earned her nursing degree. Nancy was a registered nurse for 38 years. She began her career at Asbury Hospital in Salina. Nancy moved to Colorado in 1989 and worked as a surgical nurse for over 30 years at Lutheran Medical Center in Denver.
Nancy retired in July 2022. She loved hiking and was a member of the Colorado Mountain Club. Her love of travel was highlighted by memorable trips to Egypt and Ireland.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three sisters, Patty McDermott, Jean Chavez (Rosendo) and Teresa Bellerive (Brian) all of Salina, Kansas. Nancy is also survived by three nephews, Matthew, Alex and Jacob Bellerive all of Salina and niece Lorena Chavez of Los Angeles, California.
Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado is handling arrangements.
A private burial will be held in Salina, Kansas.
