One person was injured in an accident just after 8:40 a.m. Monday along Interstate 70 in Saline County.
Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander said this morning that a 2011 Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by Elesio Acosta, 21, Kansas City, MO. was driving westbound on Interstate 70, when for an unknown reason he rear ended a semi-truck driven by 51- year-old Terry Barrett, 51 Lee Summit, MO.
Both vehicles were traveling westbound near mile marker #258.
Barrett was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was treated and released.
Melander said Acosta was issued a citation for following too closely.
