MCPHERSON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 7a.m. Sunday in McPherson County .
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy Malibu driven by Joaquin X. Angell, 20, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 135 just south of Pawnee Road. The driver fell asleep. The car traveled off the roadway to the right and struck the concrete culvert.
EMS transported Angell to the hospital in McPherson. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP.
