Salina Commissioner and Vice Mayor, Jerry Ivey shared with the Salina Post he has officially resigned.
The Post called Ivey and confirmed he made this decision in the best interest of his family.
“I love Salina and I love being a commissioner, but I love my family more,” he said.
His resignation as current Vice Mayor will take in effect Friday, July 24.
Ivey was elected to the Salina City Commission in November 2023 and officially began serving his four-year term in January 2024.
