
Duane Eddy, 55, of Salina, KS, passed away on February 18th, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Duane was born in Salina, KS to Dale Eddy and Sharon Kay Jenkins. Duane attended Central High School in Salina, and then obtained his welder’s license from Salina Area Vocational Technical School in 1991. He welcomed his daughter, Taylor Eddy, in 1996. During his life, Duane loved to work on cars, specifically his Chevrolet Laguna and Geo Storm, spend time with friends and family, play disc golf, play video games, watch the Denver Broncos play, and listen to his favorite bands. Towards the end of his life, Duane was known to volunteer at food banks and other charities.
Duane will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving and kind spirit, and being able to make friends wherever he went. To know him was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale Eddy and Sharon Kay Jenkins. He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Eddy (Dylan Lee); siblings, Belinda Montijo, Mike Montijo, Tito Montijo, Darcie (Henry) Eddy Malmgren and Darren Eddy; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog, Tank.
