USD 305 to recognize retiring staff during public reception Sunday

Salina Public Schools will be recognizing the dedication and service of retiring faculty and staff members on Sunday at Lakewood Middle School.

The recognition will begin at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and honor the collective 739 years of service to Salina Public Schools this group of retirees represents. 

Retiring staff members who will be recognized include Amy Usher, Ann Buresh, Becky Donelan, Brenda Schoel, Carol Knott, Cathryn Wenthe, Cathy Whitehair, Cindy Will, Diana Matteson, Jan Bergman, Julie O'Donnell, Linda Rohrer, Lou Ann Clark, MariAnn Gies, Marilyn Long, Mary Harmon, Mary Rupe, Micheal Lowers, Nan Miller, Norene Klein, Patricia Ostrom, Richard O'Neill, Rose Wittman, Ruth Hailey, Steven Ewing, Susan Burchill, Susan Tucker, Tanya Ewing, and Tim Klein.

The district will also honor the Salina Teachers of the Year and the Salina Master Teacher. Tina Layton is our Elementary Teacher of the Year from Meadowlark Elementary School. Melanie Hammond is our Secondary Teacher of the Year from South High School. Melanie is also our Salina Master Teacher. 

The district also will present certificates to individuals who have completed 25 years of service. They are Tresa Bolin, Johnetta Boyer, Robin Brady, Pamela Cook, Jennifer Cross, Nancy Delay, Angela Dolton, Brenda Ebel, Debra Everett, Darcy Farney, Michelle Forney, Toni Hamel, Robert Hemenway, Diana Hutchinson, Candace Johnson, Marva Jore, Alisa Kempke, Kimberly Lemon, Jean Mull, Katherine Nelson, Teresa Nelson, Kevin Nimz, Kevin Patrick, Jeanne Ramsey, Kevin Rittel, Jana Robinson, Trisha Rohleder, Henry Schneider, Sharon Scott, Sharon Smythe, Dorothea Thompson, Marilyn Todd, Gail Turner, David Underwood, Racheal Weaver, Patricia Werth, and Sheri Winters.
