A Salina man was accused of stalking and a previous alleged battery incident Thursday evening.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on August 20 at about 6:00 pm, officers responded to the 900 block of W. Crawford in reference to a trespassing.
The caller was a 53-year-old female who reported Otto Knotterus (42) was trespassing and following her to several locations to a friend of the female. SPD stated the female was in fear of Knotterus.
Officers then arrived in the area and located Knotterus and took him into custody without incident. Contact was made with the friend, a 36-year-old female, who reported be an associate of Knotterus. She reported that in July of 2026, Knotterus had battered her on several occasions and was fearful of him as well.
Knotterus was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference Domestic Battery and Stalking.
