UPDATE: Quaking continues in SE Saline County Wednesday

UPDATE 2 p.m. Wednesday: A second earthquake has rattled part of southeastern Saline County on Wednesday, this time just across the road from the first.

The Kansas Geological Survey reported this afternoon that a 2.9 magnitude quake struck at 12:45 p.m. It was centered west-northwest of the E. Lapsley Road/S. Woodward Road intersection.

ASSARIA - A minor earthquake struck southeast of Assaria this morning, continuing the seismic activity that has rattled southeastern Saline County for most of December.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.0 magnitude quake struck at 7:53 a.m. It was centered west-southwest of the E. Lapsley Road/S. Woodward Road intersection.
