Lewis Ellsworth Bates Jr. 80, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born September 3, 1940 in El Paso, TX.
Lewis worked for the Salina Journal as a printer for 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis E. and Bessie L. (St. Clair) Bates Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette M. Bates; children, Lori Eubanks (Ron), Roger Bates; grandchildren, Chris Rohloff (Mia), Amber Rohloff (Dominic Martinez), Carlie Mattison (Josh), Ronald Eubanks; great grandchildren, Dustin, Nataliya, Rylea, Jaci, Calvin, Gracie, Lillei, Lucy.
Due to Covid, a memorial service will take place at a later date.
