The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of multiple propane tanks from a business just south of Salina.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that sometime between Tuesday and Friday, someone cut the the fence at Lorenson Industries, 461 E. Avenue A, and stole nine 30-pound propane tanks from recreational vehicles parked there. The total value of the tanks was estimated at $900.
Additionally, the thief attempted to steal a power inverter from a camper, but only succeeded in causing approximately $500 in damage to the wiring, Soldan said.
Damage to the fence was estimated at $150, he added.
