KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid spoke briefly to the media on Friday. Following are his comments.

OPENING STATEMENT: “We had everybody practice today. The guys really had a good week of practice and moved around well. It was good to get back in the swing of things. We look forward to this challenge of playing Pittsburgh. They’re coming off a big game and we know they’ll be revved up and ready to go. Glad we’re playing in Arrowhead, right there at GEHA Field, we’re loving that part. Our fans will be in the holiday spirit, so we want to really do well. With that, time’s yours.”

Q: If any guys are activated off the Covid list tomorrow, do you think they could play on Sunday?

REID: “We’ll see. It depends. There’s tomorrow, there’s Sunday—you don’t know when they’re coming back, first of all. There are some that I would play if they were healthy and ready to go.”

Q: Would Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill be on that list to play?

REID: “I don’t know. I’ve got to see them and talk to them and see how they feel.”

Q: Is Tommy Townsend on the Covid list?

REID: “Yes, he is.”

Q: Are you comfortable with what Johnny Townsend can do?

REID: “Yeah, that’s why we brought him in.”

Q: What is the learning curve like for three guys to learn how to work together on the special teams?

REID: “Yeah they got a couple reps in today and we’ll see how that goes. I’ve got confidence that they’ve done both. I think we should be okay. I’m glad our snapper is intact right now.”

Q: What are you wanting for Christmas and what is your favorite Christmas movie?

REID: “Well probably the earliest one I remember is Charlie Brown Christmas Tree if you had to go way back so I’ll put that one up there. My Christmas wish is health and wellbeing for everyone. Not just our guys, but the world.”

Q: Is Sunday a plan A, plan B type of game or do you have the game plan for whoever is available?

REID: “That’s a good question. You don’t know, but we’re ready for what we’ve got today, and then if we have to make an adjustment, we’ll make an adjustment. We’re okay there.”

Q: Do you feel like you’ve ever gone through something like this with so much unknown?

REID: “Yeah, it’s different, but we’ve talked about it over the last couple years. You go through all of this and here we sit. I don’t think anybody on this call right here can tell us they’ve been through something quite like this. It’s taken the world by storm here as they say and not a good storm.”
