Marsha (Sloan) McManus of Plano, Texas passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 73. She was born on February 28, 1948, to Edward Keith and Dorothy (Nordling) Sloan in McPherson, Kansas. Marsha married Paul McManus on June 1, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker and loved interior design. Marsha had a lifelong passion for charity work and was very active in Chi Omega Christmas in Dallas. She attended Bent Tree Bible Church and was a volunteer teacher in the Bible Study Fellowship. Marsha was extremely outgoing, and she was an adventurous scuba diver and downhill skier.
She is survived by her husband Paul McManus of Plano, Texas; son Scott McManus and wife, Liyibeth, of Carrollton, Texas; daughter Shannon Kearns and husband, John, of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Yelardin McManus, Reese Kearns, and Wesley Kearns; sister Gail Butler and husband Fred, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Steven Kent Sloan.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Bent Tree Bible Church in Carrollton, Texas. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at McPherson Cemetery in McPherson, Kansas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.
