Salina Police investigating church burglary

Salina Police are currently searching for male suspect who allegedly burglarized a church.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Saturday, September 6 at around 9:00 am, SPD received a call from Calvary Apostolic Church (1440 W. Republic) regarding an alleged burglary.

Reportedly, a man who lives at the church stated at around 5:20 am, he heard sounds, with a light turning on in his room while he was asleep. The man went to check the commotion, but did not see anyone inside the church.

Later on when the pastor of the church arrived, both the man and the pastor noticed an unlatched window. Furthermore, they discovered a damaged vending machine with several sodas that were possibly stolen. They also indicated four microphones, one electric guitar and an acoustic guitar was missing.

Total loss was valued at $2,100 

SPD obtained surveillance video from the church and identified a suspect. According to SPD, the suspect is a white male and is about 5'10, 150 pounds.

SPD is currently searching for the suspect.
