LANE COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Sunday in Lane County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Impala driven by Johnathan Gonzalez, 27, McPherson, was eastbound on Kansas 96 nine miles West of Kansas 23.
The Chevy collided with the driver's side of a 2007 Ford Expedition driven by Mackayla E. Miller, Healey, who had slowed to make a turn into a private drive.
EMS transported passengers in the Chevy Narissa R Flores, 25, McPherson, to Salina Regional Health Center and Anel M. Giron-Cabrera, 26, Pflugerville, Texas, to the Lane County Hospital.
Gonzalez, Miller and four passengers in the Ford were not injured. Giron-Cabrera was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
