The Sacred Heart basketball teams split a two-game set in Chapman on Tuesday, with the Lady Irish holding on to win in overtime, and the Knights rolling by the Irish.

Girls: Sacred Heart 52, Chapman 56 OT
The Sacred Heart girls dropped their first of three at the Irish Classic in overtime, battling back but losing 56-52 in OT.
Both teams got off to a slow start in the game that saw many turnovers on each side, but the Lady Knights would only find themselves down by 2 going into the second quarter.
The Lady Knights would out score the Lady Irish 14-10, backed by a 10-point second quarter for Addie Lee, the Lady Knights would still trail 25-23 at intermission.
Going into the third quarter defensive struggles would hurt the Lady Knights but free throws would help them claw back and trail 38-33 going into the fourth. Addie Lee would shoot two triples in the fourth to get things rolling and they would fight back down 45-40 at the 2:00 mark. The Lady Knights found themselves down by 3 with under 10 seconds to go, Nicole Richards got the ball and made the tying shot as the buzzer goes off.
The Lady Irish came out with huge possessions, and the Lady Knights would fall behind and record there first loss of the season.
The Lady Knights were led by Addie Lee who tallied 25, and Emmy Lee finished with 11.
The Lady Irish was led in scoring by Jai Rogers with 20.
The Lady Knights fall to 2-1 on the season and look to turn around Friday as they take on Rossville back in Chapman.
Boys: Sacred Heart 64 Chapman 23
The Knights came on fire, taking a 22-4 lead into the second quarter. They would continue their dominance going into intermission leading 35-11.
The Knights defensively were clicking, forcing 8 turnovers in the third and scoring 25 points in the third quarter to be leading 60-22.
At the 5:48 mark the rotation moved and the starters took a seat. The Knights open the Irish Classic with a huge win 64-23.
The Knights were led by Noah Hines(21), Will Tuttle(16), Luke Koland(8)
The Irish were led in scoring with Connor Cote-Boss and Benson Smiley both having 5.
The Knights move to 3-0 and look to face #8 Rossville in Chapman Friday Afternoon.
