Robert W. "Robb" Mitchell, 50, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born March 17, 1973, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Robert Dean and Janice Lynn (Carlock) Mitchell.
Robb graduated from Zion Benton High School in Zion, Illinois and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas. He was employed as a criminal court clerk by the Shawnee County District Court.
Survivors include his domestic partner of 12 years, Douglas Jones of Topeka, KS; sister Kimber (Royal) Mellinger of McPherson, KS; and nine nieces and nephews, Doralynn, Nickolai, Tyler, Gavin, Tommie, Hailee, Luke, Tzeitel and Josh; his aunt and uncle that were like second parents to Robb, Joyce and Bill Stein of Illinois; and other family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held in Topeka and announced as soon as possible.
A second memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut St., McPherson.
Private inurnment will take place in McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
