Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County, with offices in Abilene and Herington, has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) with the 2025 Home Health Patient Experience Award. The agency earned a Superior Performer designation for achieving an overall patient and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2025 calendar year.
The annual SHPBestTM award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high-quality service to their patients. With the largest Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient experience a priority. Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County is one of only four agencies in Kansas to receive this award, and this is its second Superior Performer award within the last three years.
