MARION COUNTY - Far eastern Marion County was rattled by two small earthquakes Thursday night.

The first, a 2.8 magnitude quake, struck at 9:27 p.m. Thursday, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. It was centered just west of the Marion-Chase county line, near the east end of 220th Street.

The second, a 2.2 magnitude quake, struck at 9:40 p.m. Thursday. It was located just west of the first quake.
