On Wednesday, Bryant and Bryant Construction of Halstead will begin removing and replacing patches of deteriorated concrete pavement on E. North Street between N. Front Street and N. Ohio Street.
Traffic on E. North Street will be maintained during construction and minor delays should be expected. The repair locations are generally short.
During pavement removal and replacement preparation, motorists in the obstructed lane will yield to traffic in the unobstructed lane.
During concrete pours, full closures will likely occur for short durations.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during construction to optimize their and the workers' safety.
The work is expected to be complete by June 6.
The $470,000 project also includes repairs at the S. Ohio Street/Belmont Boulevard/E. Wayne Avenue intersection and is a holdover of the City of Salina's $4.7 million 2021 street maintenance capital improvement program.
