CONCORDIA - After a seven-home run week while leading the Cloud County Community College softball team to a 5-1 overall week, Thunderbird sophomore Ryleigh Jones has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Softball Player of the Week.
For the week, Jones hit .440 with nine extra-base hits with seven going for home runs while driving in 13 RBI. Both the stolen base and home run numbers currently lead all KJCCC Division II Softball Players.
The award is the second time that Jones has been named KJCCC Division II Softball Player of the Week, having last earned the award on Feb. 24 of last season.
