LINDSBORG - The first of several holiday music events is set for Sunday at Bethany College, and will include a number of musicians from Salina.
Comfort & Joy: A Christmas Handbell Hymnfest is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday in Presser Hall Auditorium and is open to the public at no charge.
The event will feature the Bethany College Handbell Ensemble under the direction of Hentus van Rooyen. It also will include the following handbell ensembles from Salina.
●Trinity United Methodist Church, Tyler Brenneman, director
●Redeemer Lutheran Church, Britney English, director
●Christ Cathedral, Hentus van Rooyen, director
The hymnfest also will include reflections by Amy Truhe, Bethany College campus pastor.
