⚾️ Royals agree to terms with 19 international free agents

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Kansas City Royals announced today they have agreed to terms with 19 international free agents.

“The 2026 international signing class features 19 incredible athletes that we are so excited to welcome to the Royals family,” said Royals Sr. Vice President, Major League & International Operations/Assistant General Manager, Rene Francisco. “This group highlights the tremendous work done by the entire international scouting department, and we cannot wait to see these young men grow into professionals as they chase their dreams of playing for the Royals.”

The class features five right-handed pitchers, four infielders, four outfielders, three left-handed pitchers and three catchers. Among the group are 17-year-olds Angeibel Gomez (ahn-hi-bell), a Venezuelan outfielder and MLB Pipeline’s No. 4 ranked international prospect, Cuban infielder Jaider Suárez, who MLB Pipeline ranked as their No. 22 international prospect in the class and Venezuelan catcher Adrián Lunar, the 2nd-highest ranked catching prospect in the class, per MLB Pipeline.
