SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer played to a scoreless draw with the Evangel University Valor on Saturday at Coryell Field.
It was the second conference draw for the Coyotes this year as they moved to 2-0-2 in conference play and 5-1-3 overall.
Evangel had a couple early opportunities but were subdued by Wesleyan keeper Shae Wirt stopping the shots. Later in the first half the Coyotes had a pair of looks by Gonzalo Gaubeka and Pierre Gueguen but could not score.
The Coyotes just missed a chance in the 50th minute as Vincent Pertusot hit the post with a shot.
Both teams had a chance down the stretch as Quatama Massaquoi had a shot saved in the final minute for the Coyotes looking for the match winner.
Shots were even between the teams 11-11. Gaubeka led the Coyotes with four.
Wirt had five saves in goal on the clean sheet.
