NWS issues freeze warnings for tonight, Wednesday morning

Brrrrrrr! It's going to be a cold one tonight. Freeze warnings have been issued for much of Kansas.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a freeze warning in effect from 1-10 a.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 are expected.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a freeze warning in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Freezing temperatures in the middle and upper 20s are expected.

Freezing conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
