The Southeast of Saline Trojan track and field teams rolled through the Ellsworth Invitational, with the boys winning their third straight meet and the girls finishing second.

For the girls, Jentrie Alderson led the way, winning both the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Ivie Douglas found the top step as well, winning the discus throw and taking third in the shot put.

Alderson's time of 5:14:08 in the 1600 was good enough to break the school record, which was set by Allison Stutterheim in 2013.

Ashley Prochazka finished second in both the 800 and 1600, while Joni Schroeder and Sadie Franklin took second and third respectively in the 3200 meter run.

The team rounded out their second place finish with a win in the 4x800 meter relay, ending the day ahead of nine other teams.

The boys team finished their day 92 points clear of Trego, who came second at the Ellsworth Invitational.

The Trojans took home the gold in seven individual events, with wins by Grant Stumpf in the high jump, Michael Murray in the long jump and 100 meter dash, Chase Poague in the 110 and 300m hurdles, Dominic Jackson in the 800 and Dylan Sprecker in the 400.

Murray's time of 10.89 seconds in the 100-meter dash set a new meet record for the Ellsworth Invitational.

The team also swept the relays, winning the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800.

In addition to the ten wins, Eddie McVay took second in the 100m dash, and Luke Gleason came second in the 400.

Rounding out the podium places were third place finishes by Grant Stumpf in the 110m hurdles, Nakari Morrical-Palmer in the 200m dash, Kanin Elkins in the 400, Drake Augustine in the 800 and Dominic Jackson in the 1600.
