Kansas Wesleyan's Julian Avila has been selected as the KCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field for his efforts for the Coyotes last week. KCAC Players of the Week are selected by a vote of conference athletic communicators based on their performances over the past week and are presented at the conference level by Equity Bank.
Avila's time in the 1000m at the Concordia Classic ranks first in the KCAC and third in the NAIA in that event, and also eclipsed the NAIA "A" standard for the 1000m.
He also anchored the men's 4x800m relay, which finished second, with a 1:54 split. That finish in the 4x800 also eclipsed the NAIA "A" Standard, and ranks first in the KCAC and fourth in the NAIA in that event.
