OTTAWA COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy pickup driven by Vera F. Lyne, 71, Clay Center, pulled out of a private driveway at 2653 Treaty Road five miles west of Oak Hill.
The pickup pulled into the path of a westbound 1987 Mack Dump Truck driven by Michael T. Haney, 56, Salina. After impact both vehicles came to rest in the north ditch.
EMS transported Lyne, Michael Haney and a passenger in the dump truck Peter C. Haney, Jr. 59, Minneapolis, to Salina Regional Health Center. All there were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
There was a juvenile present in the pickup. Juvenile record is protected data, according to the KHP.
