On May 17, 2020, between 7:10 and 7:55 a.m., two females were observed in Walmart, 2900 South Ninth Street.
The two female subjects obtained numerous blank gift cards and proceeded to unoccupied registers, activated the cards, and placed more than $200 credit on each card. The total value exceeded $2,000. The two females were photographed on surveillance video. Walmart reported that the same two individuals were involved in similar schemes in Great Bend, Hutchinson, and McPherson.
The females were described as heavy-set Black females, mid to late 30s, with dark hair. They were seen leaving the parking lot in a mid-sized dark four-door sedan.
