A swatting call in Salina prompts an investigation.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on May 27 at about 8:20 pm, law enforcement received a call from an individual claiming that a kidnapping had occurred and there were armed subjects holding someone hostage at a Salina home.
SPD perceived this to be a possible swatting call, but officers arrived at the home and made contact with the occupants of the home.
The residents confirmed there were no issues.
The investigation is ongoing to identify the caller.
