MARION - A small earthquake rattled part of eastern Marion County Thursday afternoon.

The 2.5 magnitude quake struck at 2:07 p.m. Thursday east-northeast of Marion, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. The quake was centered just west of the Marion-Chase county line slightly more than two miles north of Kansas Highway 150.
