Police are invesitgating the theft of tools and other items valued at $2,500 that were taken from the bed of a pickup in south Salina Tuesday.
Paris Gorman, 26, of Salina, told police that he had removed a car seat from his pickup at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, but forgot to remove a Milwaukee Packout toolbox in the bed of the pickup, which was parked in the 2300 block of Chapel Ridge, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. When Gorman returned to the pickup at approximately 11:30 p.m., the tool box had been stolen.
The tool box contained various Milwaukee tools, including two drills, a SAWZALL, an M12 impact, and a bandsaw, as well as three M12 impact batteries. The total loss is estimated at $2,500.
