KWU baseball drops series finale to Oklahoma Wesleyan

The Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes dropped the Saturday series finale with the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles 10-0 at Dean Evans Stadium.

Oklahoma Wesleyan would get the series win with the victory.

OKWU scored twice in the top of the first inning, capitalizing on an error by the Coyotes.

Another KWU error in the second led to a run for the Eagles.

OKWU added a single run in the fourth, and two more in the fifth before blowing the game open with four runs in the top of the sixth inning.

The Coyotes were limited to three hits in the game by William Dryburgh (SR/St. Joseph, Mo.), Dustin Sipe (JR/Aztec, N.M.) and Jalen Jones (SO/Katy, Texas).

Spencer Foley (JR/Lancaster, Calif.) would take the loss for the Coyotes, allowing four runs, two earned on seven hits in three and a third innings. KT Gearlds (JR/Ingram, Texas), Cesar Rodriguez (SO/Houston, Texas), Ethan Wilson (SR/Thackerville, Okla.) and Nathaniel Beers (JR/Port Orchard, Wash.) also saw action on the hill for the Coyotes.

The Coyotes are back in action on Tuesday, heading to York, Neb. to take on the Panthers.
