If you regularly travel on Broadway Boulevard, you might want to consider an alternate route this week.
The City of Salina announced that Monday through Friday, APAC Shears of Salina will continue working on the city’s annual asphalt mill and inlay project. The schedule is as follows, weather permitting:
The work consists of milling the existing asphalt street surface 1.5” and replacing it with new asphalt to rehabilitate and preserve the pavement section. Permanent pavement markings will be placed shortly after the resurfacing.
The work will be completed with lane closures. Motorists should expect modest delays, and through traffic is encouraged to avoid the work zones altogether if possible.
The $811,000 project is a major component of the City of Salina's $4.7 million 2020 maintenance capital improvement program.
