McPherson County reports 3 new cases of COVID-19; case stats updated

MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today announced three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 273. Additionally, the health department provided updated case data.

Following is information about the most recent cases, as provided by the health department.

●Positive case No. 271 is a symptomatic male in his 70s with unknown exposure.

●Positive case No. 272 is a symptomatic female in her 80s with unknown exposure.

●Positive case No. 273 is a symptomatic female in her 60s with unknown exposure.

Updated COVID-19 case data provided by the health department is as follows.

●Asymptomatic: 26

●Cases with unknown exposure: 109

●Cases 60 years old and above: 69

●Cases 50-59 years old: 31

●Cases 40-49 years old: 35

●Cases 30-39 years old: 35

●Cases 18-29 years old: 77

●Cases under 18 years old: 26

●Female cases: 147

●Male cases: 126

●Hospitalized cases (may not represent current hospitalizations): 24

●Ventilated cases (may not represent current ventilated cases): 4

●Deaths: 1

Additionally, 254 of the total 273 cases have met Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines and five active cases are hospitalized, the health department reported.
