ELLSWORTH -- The Ellsworth County Health Department on Friday reported five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, bringing the county total to nine.
The new cases were described as follows in a letter to Ellsworth County residents from the health department.
A male over the age of 50 with known travel history
A female over the age of 50 with known travel history
A male under the age of 20 with known travel history
A female under the age of 20 with known travel history
A female over the age of 40 with known contact to another positive case
"All of the individuals are currently maintaining in-home isolation and are stable. The Ellsworth County Health Department is working diligently to identify any close contacts of the individual and those who were exposed will be contacted as soon as possible. Close contacts will be monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms," the health department noted in the letter.
Of the nine confirmed cases in the county, three have recovered, the health department reported.
