Kansas Wesleyan baseball played its fourth game in three days on Tuesday as the Coyotes hosted the York Panthers in a Kansas Conference game at Dean Evans Stadium.

The Coyotes did the majority of their damage in the bottom of the second inning, scoring eight runs.

Robbie Keener (FR/Abilene, Kan.) led off the inning with a single, followed by a walk to Reece Bishop (SO/Colorado Springs, Colo.). Jarrett Gable (JR/Colleyville, Texas) then hit into a fielder's choice on a bunt, but the Panthers could not get an out on the play to load the bases.

Josh Sandoval (SR/Glendale, Ariz.) then hit into a fielder's choice, that brought in the first run of the inning.

Jalen Jones (SO/Katy, Texas) then reached when the umpires ruled that the left fielder dropped the ball that allowed another run to score for the Coyotes. William Dryburgh (SR/St. Joseph, Mo.) followed with an RBI single and Haydn Brown (SR/Gardnerville, Nev.) walked to again load the bases.

Dustin Sipe (JR/Aztec, N.M.) stepped to the plate and quickly unloaded the bases with a grand slam to center field. Diego Fisher (JR/Hollister, Calif.) followed with a triple down the line in right, and Keener drove in the final run of the frame with a sacrifice fly.

Wesleyan added two more in the third on Gable's home run and Dryburgh's double that scored Jones, who singled.

York got a run back in the fourth with a homer, but the Coyotes answered right back as Gable singled to right, driving in Fisher and Sipe.

York got another tally in the fifth on a homer, but the Coyotes would end things in the bottom of the seventh on the run rule.

Brown homered to straight away center, and Sipe followed with his second round-tripper of the game to close things out.

Sipe was 3 of 4 with five RBI in the game for the Coyotes, while Dryburgh, who is coming back from an arm injury, went 4 of 5 with three doubles and drove in two.

Spencer Foley (JR/Lancaster, Calif.) improved to 3-0 with the win, going five innings, allowed four runs on five hits with a pair of strikeouts.

The Coyotes are back in action this weekend, in a pivotal KCAC series at Friends. The teams meet for a doubleheader at noon on Saturday at West Side Athletic Complex in Wichita, and play a single game on Sunday also at noon in Wichita.
