Eli Drilling will continue placing Bluebird underground fiber optic lines along City of Salina streets.
According to information from the city, Eli Drilling will have crews working in the area of E. Ash Street and N. Ohio Street. The crews will work south along the west side of Ohio toward E. Crawford Street. Work is this area is expected to continue through Friday.
Work will be in grass areas with minimum sidewalk closures. No road closures are expected at this time.
The fiber optic cabling and related facilities will connect existing cell towers and future 5G cell towers providing exceptional cell service and high speed networks.
