Ralph Wayne Quade, born on January 19, 1941, in Hunter, Kansas, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was 84 years old.Ralph was a devoted healthcare professional, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the Beth-El School of Nursing in 1971. He dedicated many years to serving as an EMT and nurse in various Colorado locations including Colorado Springs, Fairplay, Florence, and Canon City. His commitment to caring for others extended beyond his professional life into his service during the Vietnam Conflict, where he enlisted as an Army Medic.
Known for his kind and generous spirit, Ralph was a man who never met a stranger. His warmth and friendliness left a lasting impact on his community, particularly among his friends at Brookdale, where he was deeply cherished.
Ralph was an enthusiastic gardener, a passionate fisherman, and enjoyed karaoke singing, bringing joy and laughter to many gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth (Montoya) Quade; his mother, Ruby L. (Lick) Quade; his father, Peter W.P. Quade; his brother, Duane E. Quade; his sister, Lois E. (Quade) Clark; and stepsons, Robert and Eric Brown. Ralph is survived by his brother, Gene Quade of Michigan; his son, Pedro (Kirsten) Quade; step-daughters, Sandra Brown and Kathy (Brown) Strasser; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and several grandchildren.
A special karaoke party celebrating Ralph's life will be held the third weekend of January 2026, with details to be announced. This unique gathering will honor his love for music and spirited personality.
