A local man was injured in a two-vehicle accident late Saturday afternoon in western Salina.
Kevin Redetzke was northbound in the 100 block of S. Broadway on a 2007 Big Dog motorcycle when a 2006 GMC Envoy driven by Penney Larsen that had been southbound in the 100 block of N. Broadway made a left-hand turn onto Marietta Avenue in front of the motorcycle, Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges reported this morning.
The wreck occurred at approximately 5:04 p.m. Saturday.
The motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the SUV, causing Redetzke to be thrown from the motorcycle.
Redetzke suffered life threatening injuries and was transported first to Salina Regional Health Center then eventually Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Tonniges reported.
The wreck remains under investigation, he added.
