One person was transported to Salina Regional Health Center after a two-vehicle wreck Saturday evening.
Jessica Grumbianin, 34, of Salina, was southbound on College Avenue in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with W. South Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The Intrepid struck a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Brenda Jones, 29, of Wichita, that was westbound on W. South Street.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
A 13-year-old boy was a passenger in the Intrepid, Forrester said. There were four passengers in the Traverse, including a 55-year-old man, a 52-year-old woman, a six-year-old girl, and a one-year-old boy.
Forrester said the 52-year-old woman suffered facial injuries and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional.
The Intrepid sustained driver's side damage and the Traverse sustained front-end damage. Both were towed from the scene.
Forrester said Grumbianin was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign.
