Kaneko Gou Gibson, 97, of Wichita, passed away September 3, 2022. She was born November 15, 1924, in Shimomashiki-Gun, Kumamoto-Ken, Japan.
She worked for Asbury Hospital as a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Takeo and Kaju Gou, her husband Evan Gibson, and brother Katsuki Gou.
Survivors include her children Rita Riyoko Barb of Austin, Texas, Gene Hiroshi Gibson and wife Melanie of Shawnee, Barbara Michiko Harrison, and husband James of Wichita; along with five grandchildren, Danielle, Taylor Faflick (Dustin), Jami, Katie Ramierz (Carlos), Leah Canoy (AJ), Allison, Haley, and Kristin Martinez (John); and four great-grandchildren, Cody, Cooper, Emma, John Parker and Alysandra.
A private graveside service will be held at later date at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
