Dangerously high heat indices are expected this afternoon. This will especially be true in Southeast Kansas where heat indices are expected to breach 110.
Around 3:25pm yesterday, Aug. 2, the temperature at the Wichita Eisenhower National Airport soared to 107 degrees. This is now the hottest temperature of the year so far in Wichita, surpassing 106 degrees which was set Tuesday.
